Please find below a bank of ideas and resources to support your child during the extended closure of our school.
Each class teacher has saved some learning prompts for you along with a bank of web based resources to assist you with your child’s home learning. There is also a weekly project plan for you to utilise again this will guide you through activities and also link you to appropriate resources/games that are web based to support you.
There is no expectation that you complete all tasks listed on this website. We recognise that you may be facing challenging circumstances with health throughout this period but hope that the materials offered can assist you in continuing your child’s learning journey. Please continue to read daily with your child – they have been issued with additional books to support this. Please continue to use your child’s knowledge organisers, spelling and maths fluency prompts regularly to ensure knowledge is retained.
All children have their own log in where they can access BGFL – they have a QR code to scan for this which is in their reading diary. This access will allow them to use PowerPoint, Word, and some of the computing programmes that we use in school – feel free to access these tools to support you too. Feel free to save any projects or work in here too but again I reiterate that this is not an expectation.
Pupils from Y2 upwards will also have a ‘Times Tables Rock Stars’ log in – their own log in details are also available in the children’s reading diary.
You should have a wealth of resources to support you. Should the closure be extended beyond the traditional Easter break, then more information and learning projects will be uploaded accordingly. ‘Twinkl’ have also offered our families free access to their sites should you wish to use them by following this link…
When prompted use the code UKTWINKLHELPS
