You can have a go writing some simple sentences to go with the pictures. It is a map. It is a hen. It is a fox.
If the children don't feel confident writing sentences, just encourage them to write map, hen, fox.
Encourage the children to write as independently as possible sounding out the sounds they can hear. They may just need reminders about finger spaces, full stops and capital letters.
