Task:
In this lesson, children will use their understanding of all four operations to solve mixed multi-step problems. Some children may not realise that there are two (or more) steps to a problem. To support ask: Have you found the final answer?
Children may also interpret the question incorrectly and confuse the operations. To support ask: Can you represent the problem with a bar model? Should you definitely add/subtract/multiply/divide?
