Hello Year 3!
Task:
In this lesson, children will read lengths in centimetres and millimetres – converting between both. If children are given rulers that have one side in centimetres and the other in millimetres, they may use the wrong side of the ruler. To support ask: How do you know which side is centimetres? Sometimes children make errors with place value when converting. For example, they might say that 8 cm 4 mm is 804 mm. Ask: What could you do to check your answer?
