Hello Year 3!
Task:
In this lesson, children will explore the equivalence between measurements given in centimetres and measurements given in metres and centimetres. Some children may incorrectly partition measurements over 100 cm, sometimes partitioning into 100s, 10s and 1s, thus offering inaccurate equivalences. To support ask: How many centimetres in a metre? Can you use the part-whole model and place value counters to help you separate measurements over 100 cm into 100s and then 10s with 1s?
