Afternoon

This is our music lesson for today.  Watch the Loom which introduces the story of Rosie’s Walk to the children.

Watch the video from the music show which introduces ‘Beat’ to the children and explains what it means in music.  ‘It is the steady and regular pulse we hear in music.’

Now watch ‘Rosie’s walk song’ which has music accompanying the story.  Children should watch the video and clap along with the steady beat.  The best way to do it is to clap along with the footsteps of Rosie the Hen, keeping the claps steady and in time.  It may take a few times for children to achieve this, but please don’t worry if they are struggling.  Just have a go!
