Task:
In this lesson, children will continue to use the expanded method to solve more complicated 2-digit by 1-digit number multiplications requiring the exchanges of ones into the tens column. Children may not yet be confident multiplying by a multiple of 10.
Ask: How can 3 × 5 = 15 help us solve 3 × 50? to help.
