Task:
In this lesson, children will interpret data which is presented in tables, and use this data to answer 1- and 2-step problems. Some children may incorrectly identify the row and column needed to answer a question. Encourage children to make a decision about the column first, identifying this with a star, and then to look at the row. To support ask: Which column will you find the information in? Which row will you find the information in?
