  • Design A Book Cover Competition

    As part of our Scholastic Book Fair this week, the children were invited to design a poster for a book cover of their choice. Thank you to all those children who entered we had some fantastic posters!

  • Year 5 and 6 - Cadbury World Visit

    The Year 5 & 6 children had a fun-packed day at Cadbury World in Bournville. They began their day by joining the Cadbury characters on a wondrous journey in the 4D chocolate cinema experience. Following this they learnt all about the Ancient Mayan Civilisation, the great city of Chichen Itza, Maya Gods and their fascinating counting system.

    After lunch the children discovered the history behind the creation of the Cadbury Factory and how their favourite chocolates are made. At the end of the day the children got to sample a delicious pot of warm melted Cadbury’s Dairy Milk. It was a super day out, enjoyed by all!
  • Harvington Hall - Year 6 Visit

    Year 6 had a fun day at Harvington Hall in Worcestershire. They experienced what it was like to live in a Catholic House during the Elizabethan Age when to preach Catholicism was against the Law. During the visit the children discovered lots of secret places where the priests hid from the soldiers.

  • Under 10 Boys British Dry Ski Slope Champion 2017!

    Massive CONGRATULATIONS to Adam in Year 5 who is now the Under 10 Boys British Dry Ski Slope Champion 2017!

     

    Adam was ranked 3rd in the UK after competing in 10 races across the country as part of The Great British Series. Then a few weeks ago Adam travelled to Scotland to compete on the longest and steepest dry ski slope in Europe; a huge 450m long! After falling on his first run he really dug deep and finished with a fantastic time putting him in 1st place giving him the British Title.

     

    Some of Adam’s other achievements throughout the year have been as follows:

    1st Place in the British Outdoor Champs at Hill End 
    1st Place in the Welsh Outdoor Champs in Pontypool

    1st Place in British Indoor Schools Champs at Chill Factore

    2nd Place in the British Indoor Champs at Chill Factore

    3rd place in GBR series achieving podiums in 9 of 10 races  

    Winner of a bursary prize from the British Ski Academy

     

    Adam’s next competition will be the Anglo Scottish Alpine Championships in Pila, Italy early in January and the British Alpine Children’s Champs in Tignes, France over Easter.
