Huge Congratulations to Adam in Year 5. He competed in the Anglo- Scottish Alpine Championships in Pila over the Christmas holidays. He managed to take 1st place for the U10 boys in the Slalom and 2nd place in the Giant Slalom. His performance came down to his sheer dedication and commitment as he competed against some very tough competition. Well done Adam, Super Star Skier!
Adam is now looking forward to training with the British Ski Academy in February in preparation for the British Children’s Alpine Championships at Easter.
Much fun was had by staff and children, by giving up our pens, pencils and crayons for the day. Instead we focused on our talking and listening skills. Some forgot and were caught in the act, as below:

Wow – Quel plaisir nous avions ! Huge thanks to Ms Goodwin and her Troupe of Ambassadeurs for providing a super Frence Cafe expeience for parents/grandparents this morning. It was a joy to see so many visiting the Art Exhibition and enjoying the French ambiance on this bright sunny frosty morning – perfect weather for a beret! Don’t worry if you missed it as the remaining art work will be on display for you to view and buy if you wish on Wednesday 6th after school in the library.

The Year 5 & 6 children had a fun-packed day at Cadbury World in Bournville. They began their day by joining the Cadbury characters on a wondrous journey in the 4D chocolate cinema experience. Following this they learnt all about the Ancient Mayan Civilisation, the great city of Chichen Itza, Maya Gods and their fascinating counting system.
After lunch the children discovered the history behind the creation of the Cadbury Factory and how their favourite chocolates are made. At the end of the day the children got to sample a delicious pot of warm melted Cadbury’s Dairy Milk. It was a super day out, enjoyed by all!Year 6 had a fun day at Harvington Hall in Worcestershire. They experienced what it was like to live in a Catholic House during the Elizabethan Age when to preach Catholicism was against the Law. During the visit the children discovered lots of secret places where the priests hid from the soldiers.
